Java Software Engineer

- Contribute to complex software engineering projects and initiatives for the Market Risk platform.
- Modernize, maintain, and enhance software applications while handling business-as-usual requests and production support.
- Architect solutions meeting performance, scalability, and security requirements.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Drive technical excellence through code reviews, design discussions, knowledge sharing, and coding standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on project roadmaps and technical strategy.
- Implement software engineering best practices and design patterns.
- Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies.
- Participate in global-team collaboration and stay current with emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring, and RDBMS.
- Strong object-oriented design and development, data structures and algorithms, and design-pattern skills.
- Strong experience with relational database logical modeling and optimized querying of large relational databases.
- Experience incorporating JUnit unit tests when designing systems.
- Ability to write Shell and Python scripts.
- Strong analytical, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while following coding standards.
- Exposure to AI agents and automation tools across software development, validation, and production deployment.
