Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable production software.
- Build full-stack solutions using Java or Python and modern JavaScript or TypeScript frontend technologies with React.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse datasets to identify problems and improve coding hygiene, system architecture, and application performance.
- Design reliable solutions that avoid single points of failure and support zero-downtime releases.
- Investigate and resolve issues promptly and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Validate AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, secure coding practices, and responsible data handling.
- Share engineering practices and guide peers on safe and effective AI-assisted development.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment using Java or Python and database querying languages.
- Proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript and React-based frontend stacks.
- Understanding of modern JavaScript design patterns.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS, Sass, and LESS.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and application resiliency and security practices.
- Preferred: AWS certification, banking-domain experience, presentation, negotiation, mentoring, stakeholder management, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
