Responsibilities
- Set architectural vision and direction aligned with organizational business goals.
- Design and oversee implementation of modern architectural solutions for banking applications.
- Develop Java-based proofs of concept and demonstrate successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with CTOs, business executives, vendors, and partners on architectural strategies and solutions.
- Build and manage a high-performing architecture team, including hiring, mentoring, delegation, and professional development.
- Promote architectural best practices, industry standards, innovation, resiliency, performance optimization, and integration excellence.
Requirements
- Experience decomposing monolithic applications and applying APIs, microservices, data foundations, and cloud provider PaaS and IaaS capabilities.
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS and GCP.
- Deep understanding of Mongo, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and DB2 database technologies and cloud-based database products.
- Experience with Java, Spring, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, and React, including hands-on Java development and debugging.
- Experience with event-driven design and streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka and GCP Pub/Sub.
- Experience with messaging and integration technologies such as MQ and IBM Connect:Direct.
- Experience applying engineering best practices and designing resilient systems that prevent cascading failures and preserve functionality during service failures.
- Experience designing systems against non-functional requirements, selecting databases for applicable use cases, implementing middleware integrations, and optimizing application performance.
- Strong leadership, communication, time-management, and delegation skills.
