Base Salary

Responsibilities

Maintain a globally distributed ecosystem of cloud instances, containerized workflows, serverless applications, Linux servers, and supporting infrastructure.
Maintain transactional database infrastructure using MySQL, PostgreSQL, RDS, and Aurora, and support NoSQL systems including DynamoDB and MongoDB.
Build and support data stream processing with Kinesis and Kafka and support data engineering and big-data toolchains such as Spark.
Support production systems in a 24x7x365 environment, including on-call responsibilities.
Provide architectural and operational support, tooling, troubleshooting, and best-practice guidance to software and data engineering teams.
Implement and oversee security programs including vulnerability remediation, patch management, IDS/IPS, penetration testing, and coordination with corporate InfoSec.
Support production code deployment pipelines and monitoring and observability practices.

4+ years of systems or platform engineering experience.
Experience building globally distributed systems.
Strong understanding of security best practices.
Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience with Git and GitHub for branching and merge-based source code configuration management.
Experience with configuration management systems such as Chef or Ansible.
Experience with container-based architectures including Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in one or more high-level programming languages such as TypeScript, Go, Python, PHP, Ruby, or Java.
Experience with AWS and other cloud infrastructure platforms.
Ability to write SQL queries and analyze query performance.
Strong verbal and written communication, time management, and self-directed work skills.
