Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, optimize, maintain, and support low-latency C++ pricing engines.
- Perform requirements, design, and code reviews while applying development guidelines, design standards, and best practices.
- Analyze business and operational processes and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Own end-to-end technical delivery for small and medium projects.
- Support continuous build, automated deployment, business continuity, and platform operations.
- Identify business risks and enhance controls across the organization.
- Mentor a small team of 2–4 technical performers and oversee junior data team members’ day-to-day operations.
- Participate in scrum and sprint activities and collaborate with business stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building low-latency pricing engines in C++.
- Experience with concurrency, threading, performance optimization, smart pointers, caching fundamentals, and memory or thread pooling.
- Strong problem-solving skills and moderate to good mathematical ability.
- Foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and performance-oriented design.
- Experience with optimization, maintenance, and production support in large enterprises.
- Experience mentoring a small team of 2–4 highly qualified technical performers.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to extract critical business concepts and convert them into technical tasks.
- Ability to work and lead in an Agile methodology environment.
- Working knowledge of emerging generative AI technology is desired.
- Prior experience in capital markets or trading firms is a strong plus.
