Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, tools, and systems for M&A financial data.
- Develop high-quality, reusable, and maintainable Python code and perform unit and integration testing.
- Conduct code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
- Build and deploy production-level services while improving product performance, reliability, and stability.
- Use monitoring metrics to identify and implement performance improvements.
- Collaborate with engineers, product developers, and internal teams in a Scrum environment.
- Estimate work, communicate progress in standups and Scrum meetings, and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Take ownership of end-to-end product work and individual deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.
- 5–7 years of overall industry experience.
- 3–4 years of Python experience.
- Strong proficiency with Python, Pandas, and NumPy.
- Experience with AWS services and environments, including Kinesis, Glue, Redshift, EC2, S3, Fargate, Lambda, and EMR.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with GitHub-based development processes.
- Experience building and deploying production-level services.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Hands-on knowledge of GenAI concepts.
- Preferred experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Terraform infrastructure as code, and Linux/Unix environments.
- Familiarity with Agile software development, with Scrum experience preferred.
