Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of multi-engineer software projects and own architectural direction.
- Define technology strategy and balance short-term requirements with long-term extensibility and maintainability.
- Write clear, well-organized, well-documented code and promote engineering best practices.
- Mentor and coach engineers, including providing technical and career guidance.
- Design and maintain operational excellence through alarms, telemetry, runbooks, retrospectives, and root-cause resolution.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with one or more software programming languages.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, technical lead, or engineering team leader.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
