Base Salary
$149k - $238k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance software for Axon Records.
- Lead technical projects from concept through launch while meeting business and technical requirements.
- Build internationalization and localization capabilities for international law enforcement customers.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to engineers.
- Define technical vision and manage roadmaps for the technical backlog.
- Lead architecture design reviews and provide feedback through pull request reviews.
- Write and review design documents, library proposals, and technical vision documents.
- Evaluate and improve engineering processes across the group.
- Support customer go-lives and other time-sensitive initiatives through clear communication and cross-team coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience designing and delivering highly available, scalable cloud-based systems.
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, TypeScript/JavaScript, and component-based frameworks such as React.js.
- Back-end experience with Go, Scala, Java, or a similar language.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL data stores.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling such as TeamCity or Jenkins.
- Preferred experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Puppeteer, or Playwright, or automated API testing.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical partners.
