Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for agile teams delivering full-stack applications, APIs, microservices, integration services, platform modernization, and production enhancements.
- Guide solution design, implementation approaches, architecture decisions, technical dependencies, and scalable, secure, resilient engineering practices.
- Design and implement Java-based microservices, REST APIs, front-end applications, and integration services.
- Create proofs of concept, demonstrations, and prototypes to evaluate technologies and validate engineering patterns.
- Establish standards for scalable design, code quality, automated testing, peer reviews, deployment discipline, application security, compliance, auditability, and production readiness.
- Improve production support through incident triage, root-cause analysis, observability, recovery patterns, resiliency improvements, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor developers through design reviews, code reviews, technical problem solving, implementation guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Promote AI-assisted development lifecycle practices across design, development, testing, code quality, and delivery execution.
- Partner with Product Owners, engineering managers, architects, vendors, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver business outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of related software engineering or technology delivery experience, including demonstrated technical leadership guiding engineering teams through complex application delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience leading complex initiatives involving full-stack applications, APIs, microservices, platform modernization, integration services, and production enhancements.
- Hands-on or technical leadership experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices architecture, AWS or cloud-native application development, Angular or React, SQL, relational databases, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong background in full-stack software engineering, application architecture, API design, enterprise integration patterns, application security, performance, resiliency, and scalable digital products.
- Experience applying engineering standards covering code quality, automated testing, peer reviews, deployment discipline, compliance, auditability, and production readiness.
- Ability to evaluate solution options, guide architecture and implementation decisions, and create proofs of concept or demonstrations.
- Experience with production reliability practices including incident triage, root-cause analysis, observability, resiliency improvements, and operational readiness.
- Strong mentoring, coaching, peer review, technical influence, communication, collaboration, and dependency coordination skills.
- Advanced degree preferred.
