Base Salary
$98k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver complex features and small systems through production while meeting functional, non-functional, security, reliability, and compliance requirements.
- Write and review software, integrate services, establish engineering patterns, and validate AI-produced code through automated testing and continuous verification.
- Identify ambiguity, dependencies, and operational risks early, and harden prototypes into resilient production systems.
- Design and build AI-enabled systems using Amazon Bedrock, including prompt defenses against injection, leaking, and jailbreaking.
- Design and operate AWS cloud-native and serverless systems using Terraform and documented production change-management practices.
- Set technical patterns, influence technical direction, mentor Developer I and II engineers, and lead design and code reviews.
- Partner with product, security, and risk teams on acceptance criteria, controls, evaluations, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop responsible-AI practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of complex production systems.
- Strong proficiency in at least two of Go, Python, and TypeScript, including API design, integration patterns, and cloud-native development.
- Experience with AWS, CI/CD, Terraform, and serverless architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to build secure and reliable systems and improve team quality through reviews and mentorship.
- Experience building features integrating existing AI models, including retrieval-augmented generation, tool or function calling, agent orchestration, evaluations, and guardrails.
- Experience with AI evaluation, observability, guardrails, and policy-as-code.
- Preferred experience delivering compliant software in a regulated financial-services environment.
