Base Salary
$98k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Convert business requirements into shipped features that meet functional, non-functional, security, and compliance requirements.
- Write and review high-quality code, integrate services, and validate human-written and AI-assisted code through automated testing and continuous verification.
- Harden prototypes into resilient production systems while improving delivery speed, reliability, quality, and operational safety.
- Design and build AI-enabled systems using Amazon Bedrock, including Bedrock Guardrails and prompt designs that defend against prompt injection, prompt leaking, and jailbreaking.
- Design and operate AWS cloud-native and serverless systems using GitOps CI/CD and Terraform.
- Set technical patterns, influence technical direction, and lead design and code reviews.
- Mentor Developer I and II engineers through pair programming and code-review coaching.
- Partner with product, security, and risk teams on acceptance criteria, controls, and responsible-AI practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of complex production systems.
- Strong proficiency in two or more of Go, Python, and TypeScript, including API design, integration patterns, and cloud-native development.
- Experience with AWS, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, and serverless architectures.
- Ability to build secure, reliable systems and raise engineering quality through reviews and mentorship.
- Experience integrating existing AI models through retrieval-augmented generation, tool or function calling, agent orchestration, evaluations, and guardrails.
- Experience with AI evaluation, observability, guardrails, and policy-as-code.
- Preferred experience delivering compliant software in a regulated financial-services environment.
