Base Salary
$133k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement performance test frameworks for application services.
- Plan, design, build, and execute performance test scenarios, scripts, workload models, and test plans.
- Gather performance requirements and translate them into measurable success criteria aligned with SLAs.
- Configure load generators, test schedules, execution monitoring, dashboards, alerts, and automated reporting.
- Analyze application and infrastructure performance, including thread dumps, heap dumps, logs, metrics, and alerts.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications in cloud-native performance testing environments.
- Integrate performance testing with CI/CD, release engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and development teams.
- Identify bottlenecks and hidden performance patterns and use findings to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Create and present performance test plans and reports to technical teams, project managers, and senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Alternatively, a master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus three years of relevant experience.
- Experience gathering performance requirements and creating test plans, parameterized scripts, and measurable SLA-aligned criteria.
- Experience with JMeter and LoadRunner for performance testing and analysis.
- Experience optimizing enterprise Java applications and configuring application server and JVM settings.
- Experience with at least one of Dynatrace, Datadog, or Grafana for performance monitoring, dashboards, alerts, and reporting.
- Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience designing observability solutions using Grafana or Splunk.
- Experience with Git and Jenkins.
- Experience presenting performance objectives, methodologies, findings, and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
