Base Salary
$120k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain C++ and Python adapters, plugins, and interfaces for AFSIM, NGTS, Aechelon, HMSSimBlocks, and HMSF.
- Migrate HMSSimBlocks capabilities to HMSF while maintaining support and backward compatibility for existing users.
- Design and maintain a reusable CIGI plugin layer for visual communication with Aechelon image generators.
- Create extensible templates and architectures for custom sensors and models across simulation frameworks.
- Maintain functional parity for CSF loading, DDS communication, GRID interfaces, and Hivemind SDK updates.
- Diagnose simulation-autonomy issues by analyzing framework behavior, network data, DDS traffic, and API call stacks.
- Write unit tests, automated integration tests, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong C++ and Python software development experience in a Linux environment.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals, including Git, automated testing, and disciplined debugging.
- Experience developing or maintaining plugins, baseline interfaces, or modeling frameworks for simulation environments such as AFSIM, NGTS, or similar.
- Familiarity with UDP/TCP, DDS middleware, serialization, or interface standards such as CIGI.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to help developers resolve integration bugs.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
