Base Salary
$175k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship backend features in the Django monolith for document viewing, editing, embeds, exports, and greenfield projects.
- Improve performance and reliability by optimizing database queries, endpoints, and caching layers.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver reliable user experiences at scale.
- Contribute to technical discussions and longer-term architectural evolution.
- Support engineering excellence through code reviews, test coverage, observability, and performance improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building backend applications at high scale and availability.
- Extensive experience with Python.
- Experience optimizing endpoint performance and database queries.
- Strong advocacy for automated testing and familiarity with engineering best practices.
- Django experience is a bonus but not required.
- Startup experience is a bonus but not required.
