Responsibilities
- Assess customer governance and security maturity, identify capability gaps, and develop governance transformation roadmaps.
- Design and implement AI Governance Operating Models covering governance forums, stakeholder structures, decision rights, accountability, ownership, stewardship, data access, human oversight, escalation, and executive oversight.
- Establish Responsible AI, risk, security, privacy, compliance, and governance frameworks, including policies, standards, controls, and guardrails.
- Operationalize AI and agent governance across intake, assessment, approval, deployment, runtime monitoring, change management, retirement, and ongoing oversight.
- Establish governance observability and assurance capabilities, including metrics, executive reporting, auditability, compliance evidence, risk monitoring, and continuous assurance.
- Leverage Microsoft security, compliance, identity, governance, and AI management platforms to implement control structures for AI and autonomous systems.
- Partner with customer executives and risk, compliance, legal, security, technology, and business stakeholders to establish governance councils and address regulatory requirements.
- Transfer governance practices and tooling to customer risk and compliance teams so they can independently operate and evolve the capability.
Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field plus 6+ years of experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, or a technology domain; alternatively, a bachelor's degree plus 8+ years of such experience or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience managing multiple projects or portfolios.
- At least 1 year of experience leading blended, multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with AI/ML governance frameworks and Responsible AI programs.
- Experience in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or government.
- Knowledge of AI governance and compliance frameworks including NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, and Microsoft Responsible AI Standard.
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Agent 365, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, and Azure security and compliance tooling.
- Experience governing AI agents, Copilots, and autonomous systems at enterprise scale.
- Experience working with regulators, auditors, governance councils, and executive oversight bodies.
- Experience designing and operationalizing enterprise-scale AI governance, security, risk, and compliance capabilities and governance operating models.
- Deep understanding of AI, agentic AI, and autonomous-system risks involving models, data, identity, security, privacy, compliance, resilience, and Responsible AI.
- Experience designing AI governance and security guardrails involving identity and access management, data protection, threat protection, monitoring, auditability, and policy enforcement.
- Executive communication skills, including board-level risk reporting.
- Experience leading cross-functional governance programs and advising senior or C-level stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex AI risks, options, and trade-offs into executive briefings, decision papers, and clear points of view.
