Responsibilities
- Serve as the Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud-native subject matter expert for Sales and Customer Success teams.
- Lead technical discovery and proof-of-concept engagements for cloud-native and digitally transforming customers.
- Build cloud-native ROI models and support competitive positioning using Dynatrace’s observability and AI-driven root cause analysis.
- Design observability-as-code strategies with Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane and help customers integrate Dynatrace into CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
- Advise platform teams on SLOs, error budgets, SRE maturity, service mesh, serverless, eBPF, scaling, resource optimization, and cost-aware infrastructure.
- Conduct cloud-native maturity workshops and advocate for OpenTelemetry and Dynatrace integrations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, DevOps, or SRE, including at least 3 years focused on Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, container runtimes, ingress controllers, service discovery, service mesh architectures, and sidecar patterns.
- Expertise with at least one major cloud provider—AWS, Azure, or GCP—and its managed Kubernetes and serverless offerings.
- Proficiency in Terraform, Helm, and YAML, with ability to read or write Go, Java, or Node.js for microservices troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include CKA or CKAD certification, eBPF monitoring experience, FinOps familiarity, and active CNCF or open-source participation.
- Ability to explain MTTR and deployment frequency business impacts to executive stakeholders.
