Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize high-quality Java-based backend services and Spring Boot applications.
- Build batch-processing pipelines and enterprise integration flows using Spring Batch and Spring Integration.
- Design and manage relational database schemas, optimize SQL queries, and work with ORM frameworks in transactional environments.
- Architect and implement RESTful integrations within a microservice architecture using appropriate design patterns.
- Develop or contribute to front-end applications using Angular, React, or VueJS with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA, Product teams, integration teams, and platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Modernize legacy systems and introduce cloud-native capabilities using secure coding, clean code, testing, and continuous-improvement practices.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, risk controls, architectural governance, policies, and applicable regulations.
- Participate in code reviews, technical communities, stakeholder communication, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- In-depth technical knowledge and experience in the assigned software engineering area is required.
- Strong Core Java knowledge, including collections, multithreading and concurrency, exception handling, and JVM internals.
- Production experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Integration.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and ability to produce clean, testable, maintainable code.
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries, designing relational schemas, and using ORM frameworks in transactional systems.
- Experience with RESTful web services, microservice architecture, and design patterns such as Circuit Breaker, Saga, CQRS, and Repository.
- Front-end experience with Angular, React, or VueJS, plus HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript, is highly valued.
- Working knowledge of AWS fundamentals, including EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS/SNS, and IAM, is highly valued.
- Experience with Camunda BPM, Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Maven or Gradle, API gateways, service meshes, and Kafka or equivalent message brokers is valued.
- Institutional KYC/AML or client data management experience is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, advise stakeholders, communicate complex information, and take ownership of software quality, risk, and delivery outcomes.
