Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain medium- to large-scale technology platforms and architectures, including agentic AI systems.
- Build or integrate AI agents, LLM or SLM applications, tool and function calling, RAG, memory, model routing, evaluations, guardrails, observability, and secure API or tool access.
- Evaluate models and improve AI output quality through prompt optimization and model tuning as applicable.
- Translate unstructured inputs into structured requirements, specifications, user stories, and test cases.
- Analyze business and technical requirements, define application scope, and collaborate with product managers, analysts, engineers, graphic designers, QA, and IT teams.
- Code and maintain complex information-system components, perform code reviews, mentor other developers, and resolve defects.
- Develop and execute system and unit tests, assess regression impact, support defect triage, and revalidate fixes.
- Support operational readiness through logging, monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, production support, and on-call rotations.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, plus at least 3 years of experience on one platform, multi-database, multi-language, or multi-business application; an equivalent combination of education and experience is accepted.
- Experience with US healthcare, payer, claims, clinical, HIPAA, PHI, regulated-industry, or enterprise-security environments is preferred.
- Experience with Agile project delivery, Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe), and delivery or portfolio-management tools is preferred.
- Strong software-engineering fundamentals in cloud-native development, APIs, microservices, automated testing, secure SDLC, and CI/CD are preferred.
- Experience building or integrating AI agents, tool/function calling, RAG, memory, model routing, evaluations, guardrails, observability, and secure API/tool access is preferred.
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore services, including Runtime, Memory, Identity, Gateway, Code Interpreter, Browser Tool, Observability, Evaluations, and Policy, is strongly preferred.
- Experience building LLM or SLM applications, reviewing and hardening AI-generated code, and providing production support is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain AI concepts to nontechnical audiences are preferred.
