$234k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive architecture and technical direction for a cohesive BYOC Logs experience combining observability pipelines and on-premises storage.
- Build and scale high-throughput systems for log processing, routing, and transformation across distributed environments.
- Lead cross-team initiatives involving engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
- Design and implement reliable software for customer-managed, on-premises, and cloud environments.
- Improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency through trade-off analysis and capacity planning.
- Contribute hands-on to critical code paths, debugging, and deployment challenges in customer environments.
- Influence product strategy and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Experience building and operating software deployed in customer-managed or on-premises environments.
- Strong expertise in distributed systems, scalability, performance optimization, and high-throughput data processing.
- Proficiency in systems-level programming such as Go, Rust, or C++.
- Understanding of software operation across diverse environments, including Linux systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Comfort troubleshooting infrastructure and networking issues.
- Production experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Track record leading large, cross-functional engineering efforts and influencing technical direction across teams.
