Responsibilities
- Ship React/TypeScript map workspace features including layers, annotations, timelines, and overlays.
- Build APIs integrating PostGIS, geoprocessing services, and vector or 3D tiles.
- Optimize performance for large datasets and offline workflows through tiling, caching, and packaging.
- Instrument telemetry and tests and participate in on-call rotations for spatial services.
- Collaborate with designers, analysts, and data engineers to iterate based on user feedback.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience building geospatial or visualization-heavy full-stack applications.
- Strong TypeScript and React skills, plus Node.js or Python experience.
- Experience with Mapbox, MapLibre, or Cesium.
- Understanding of geospatial formats, projections, and performance optimization.
- Eligible to work in Germany.
- EU/NATO citizenship and successful security screening required.
- German language proficiency at B1+ is a nice-to-have.
- Experience with offline synchronization, deck.gl, or NATO symbology is a nice-to-have.
