Base Salary
$230k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building full-stack and distributed microservices solutions for regulatory and risk-management needs.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with demanding reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across teams, including architecture, technical direction, coding standards, design patterns, and enterprise technology strategy.
- Partner with product managers, architects, and product leaders to define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Mentor engineers and support professional development across technical teams.
- Use modern programming languages, cloud platforms, databases, container orchestration, observability, and AI-based development tools to deliver solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 9+ years coding in multiple listed languages, and 5+ years with open-source frameworks and front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes APIs, databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, reliability practices, and distributed-system performance optimization.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring senior engineers, leading architecture reviews, establishing technical standards, influencing technology strategy, and leading cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, IDE copilots, and interactive AI productivity tooling is preferred.
