Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage and evolve Kubernetes platforms, including cluster lifecycle, upgrades, bare metal provisioning, CNI networking, storage, autoscaling, and disaster recovery planning.
- Operate and scale the on-premise observability platform using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and OpenTelemetry collectors.
- Build and maintain GitLab CI pipelines, ArgoCD deployments, Artifactory integrations, reusable CI components, and secrets integrations.
- Develop infrastructure automation, configuration management, provisioning systems, and self-service tooling.
- Onboard trading desks and development teams to the platform, write runbooks and documentation, and help establish a sustainable support model.
Requirements
- Require 5–8 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Require deep hands-on production Kubernetes experience, including cluster lifecycle, troubleshooting, networking, storage, and RBAC.
- Require production observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and alerting, plus understanding of OpenTelemetry collectors, exporters, and instrumentation.
- Require experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux, CI/CD pipelines, and artifact management systems.
- Require Terraform and/or Ansible experience for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Require strong Linux fundamentals, including systemd, networking, storage, and performance troubleshooting.
- Require Go or Python programming experience and the ability to read and write YAML and Helm charts.
- Require the ability to communicate directly with trading desks and development teams and explain Kubernetes concepts to non-experts.
- Preferred qualifications include trading-firm experience, Kubeflow or Airflow experience, advanced Kubernetes networking, Kafka or event-streaming experience, on-premise infrastructure experience, and thoughtful use of AI coding assistants.
