Responsibilities
- Manage customer issues through diagnosis, resolution, implementation of investigation tools, and improvements to support productivity.
- Troubleshoot, reproduce, and determine the root causes of customer-reported Google Cloud issues while developing product and architecture knowledge.
- Develop tools using coding or scripting and improve products, processes, and documentation to make Google Cloud easier to adopt.
- Consult with engineering, sales, and customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles.
- Advocate for customer needs with product and engineering teams and help improve product quality.
- Participate in a global team providing 24-hour customer support, including occasional non-standard work hours or shifts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customer needs and triaging technical issues.
- Experience reading or debugging code in Java, C, C++, .NET, Python, Shell, Perl, or JavaScript.
- Fluent English communication skills for client relationship management in the region.
- Preferred experience implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices.
- Preferred experience with packet capture and analysis, artificial packet creation, load testing, and traffic path analysis.
- Preferred experience with SQL database administration, Google App Engine, open source software communities, cloud networking solutions, or distributed computing technology.
- System or network administrator-level knowledge of Linux or Unix systems.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, VLANs, peering, and load balancing.
- Knowledge of basic web technologies including HTTP, HTML, DNS, and TCP.
