Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance across the engineering team.
- Coordinate technical priorities, sprints, project timelines, dependencies, risks, deliverables, and resource allocation.
- Design, test, code, instrument, troubleshoot, and review scalable software solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, customers, and engineering teams to define and deliver technical solutions.
- Support live applications through monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Modernize legacy .NET applications and technologies.
- Manage and improve development and CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor engineers and promote continuous learning and engineering best practices.
- Lead complex technical projects from planning through delivery.
- Identify opportunities to use AI, agentic workflows, and automation to improve engineering, testing, documentation, and operational processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in software development, architecture, deployment, and production operations.
- Strong experience with C#, .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and C# scripting within SSIS.
- Experience designing and developing ASP.NET RESTful APIs, scalable services, stored procedures, and functions.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, relational and NoSQL databases, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native applications.
- Experience with YAML-based CI/CD pipelines, Git, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Experience with Azure or AWS cloud services, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and observability tools.
- Strong understanding of software security principles, OWASP guidelines, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and automated testing.
- Proven technical leadership and project leadership experience, including coordinating engineering work, mentoring engineers, and managing scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and priorities.
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments and communicating technical trade-offs and project status to engineers and stakeholders.
- BizTalk experience is preferred, or willingness to learn it.
- Familiarity with LLM concepts, LangChain or LlamaIndex, RAG, MCP, agentic workflows, LangGraph or CrewAI, vector databases, and AI-native engineering practices is preferred or expected to be learned quickly.
- Experience or interest in PostgreSQL, Azure Data Lake, Apache Iceberg, PySpark, Kafka, Snowflake, ThoughtSpot, Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform, GraphQL, and modern data engineering is desirable.
