Responsibilities
- Build performant search and indexing systems for granularly permissioned data.
- Contribute to open-source data-processing libraries and improve system performance.
- Build distributed systems for large-scale compute workloads and schedule hundreds of thousands of containers per hour.
- Design architecture and APIs that simplify application development.
- Implement tracing and performance observability for high-scale distributed microservice architectures.
- Build reliable, performant, and scalable storage, authentication, and asset-serving systems.
- Automate deployment, management, and operations of distributed systems across different environments.
Requirements
- Have an engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or a similar field.
- Demonstrate strong coding skills in languages such as Java, C++, Python, Rust, or similar.
- Be familiar with storage and data-processing systems, cloud infrastructure, and other technical tools.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to iterate quickly with teammates.
- Experience developing and managing highly available distributed systems is beneficial but not required.
- An active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one is beneficial but not required.
