Base Salary
$286k - $359k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize technical vision while decomposing complex problems into practical, operational solutions.
- Ensure technical design and implementation quality, including performance, scalability, operability, and resilience.
- Modernize monolithic systems into microservice architectures and event-driven platforms.
- Define long-term platform strategy, API standards, coding standards, and design patterns with engineering and architecture leaders.
- Design and deliver solutions for high-volume, low-latency global payment and money-movement systems.
- Lead cross-divisional architectural projects and promote engineering best practices.
- Provide hands-on technical contribution while mentoring engineers, coaching peers, and strengthening technical expertise.
- Share knowledge through communications, code samples, blog posts, and other technical materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 9 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred 12+ years of experience with software engineering and solution architecture, web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred 12+ years of professional coding experience with languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience with databases and database management systems and 12+ years across the full software development lifecycle.
- Preferred 10+ years with cloud-based productivity tools or virtualization technologies and 12+ years with networking protocols and third-party distributed-system integration.
- Preferred 7+ years mentoring senior engineers and 3+ years leading cross-domain architectural reviews or establishing coding and design standards.
- Expertise in the strategic application of agentic AI coding tools is preferred.
