Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain backend server-side software modules and product features.
- Build and optimize distributed SaaS applications that operate at global scale and handle petabytes of data.
- Design, manage, and optimize databases and integrate third-party APIs at scale.
- Ensure high performance, responsiveness, correctness, security, maintainability, and code quality.
- Review code and designs and mentor junior team members.
- Collaborate effectively across teams and contribute to end-to-end development.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building global-scale distributed SaaS applications, preferably in a product company.
- Hands-on experience with Go, Python, C, C++, or Java on Unix/Linux or Windows.
- Strong experience designing, managing, and optimizing databases.
- Excellent programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design skills.
- Experience with SoA and cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or ESXi; AHV, Hyper-V, or other hypervisors are a plus.
- Knowledge of the security or data protection domain is desirable.
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
- B.Tech, B.E., M.E., or M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Ability to effectively leverage GenAI while applying sound engineering judgment around correctness, security, performance, maintainability, and code quality.
- Strong written, verbal, and cross-team communication skills.
