Responsibilities
- Develop software for next-generation access and aggregation platforms, Metro networks, and mobile backhaul using JunOS or Junos EVO architecture.
- Perform C and C++ software development and debugging, including Unix/Linux user-space, kernel, socket, and inter-process communication work.
- Collaborate with product management and system and solution test teams to deliver high-quality products and solutions.
- Work with the Juniper Technical Assistance Team to provide engineering support for critical customer deployment escalations.
- Develop applications on DNX platforms including Jericho and Jericho2.
Requirements
- BS or MS in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field.
- At least 6 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming and debugging.
- Experience with Layer 2 protocols and technologies including STP, ERPS, 802.1X, Jflow, Sflow, and Layer 2 bridging and switching.
- Experience with Unix/Linux systems, user-space processes, kernels, socket programming, and inter-process communication.
- Knowledge of TCP, UDP, IPv4, and IPv6.
- Knowledge of service-provider technologies, access and aggregation deployments, Metro networks, and mobile backhaul.
- Experience with application development on DNX platforms such as Jericho and Jericho2.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
