Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Playwright.
- Design and execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Build reusable Playwright automation components with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Maintain Selenium-based automation frameworks using Java.
- Automate web applications across multiple browsers and environments.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and analyze execution results.
- Apply AI and generative AI capabilities to test-case generation, test analysis, test automation, and QA processes.
- Troubleshoot automation failures, perform root-cause analysis, and retest defects.
- Participate in test planning, requirements analysis, code reviews, and release validation.
- Perform API testing, database validation, and backend data verification when required.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure application quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or a master's degree in Software Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and object-oriented programming.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Selenium automation frameworks.
- Strong experience with Playwright and knowledge of locators, assertions, fixtures, hooks, waits, browser contexts, parallel execution, and reporting.
- Good programming knowledge in JavaScript or TypeScript for Playwright automation.
- Knowledge of Page Object Model and reusable automation framework design.
- Practical experience or exposure to AI or generative AI for testing and QA.
- Understanding of API testing, REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, and authentication.
- Knowledge of Git, Maven or Gradle, CI/CD, and test management or defect tracking tools.
- Database and SQL knowledge for backend validation is preferred.
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodology, and software testing principles.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- English proficiency at C2 level is required.
- Listed certifications include CSTE, GitOps Certified Fundamentals, ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level, ISTQB Certified Tester, and Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 8 Programmer.
