Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable features and enhancements for the Monetize real-time platform.
- Lead or contribute to cross-team planning, requirements definition, design documents, estimation, and roadmap direction.
- Build high-quality software for distributed, high-performance auction and advertising systems under strict real-time constraints.
- Prototype features, gather client feedback, and improve product development and build processes.
- Participate in code reviews and improve code efficiency, maintainability, robustness, availability, reliability, observability, and performance.
- Support, debug, monitor, and restore production systems as an on-call Designated Responsible Individual.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and share software development best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Experience coding in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Preferred: 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Preferred: experience with C, C++, or Java, with extensive experience in other languages such as Rust or Go also considered.
- Preferred: experience building high-performance, multithreaded, distributed systems and applications, preferably in Linux.
- Preferred: experience with advanced optimization techniques, generalized architecture patterns, service-oriented architecture, data structures, algorithms, and time complexity.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
Benefits
- Employees living within a 50-mile commute of a designated U.S. Microsoft office or within a 25-mile commute of a designated non-U.S. location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week starting January 26, 2026, subject to local law and jurisdiction.
