Responsibilities
- Read design documents and create implementation specifications, algorithms, and production code.
- Create and execute unit test plans, debug technical issues, and participate in peer code reviews and troubleshooting.
- Follow development schedules and quality processes.
- Provide technical support to clients and production support when needed.
- Mentor junior engineers and resolve technical queries.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of software engineering experience.
- Excellent knowledge of C and C++, including object-oriented concepts, templates, STL, exception handling, overloading, inheritance, multiple inheritance, and RTTI.
- Understanding of operating systems, Unix commands, memory management, memory leaks, memory violations, and segmentation faults.
- Knowledge of NLS, local encoding, Unicode, endianness, MQ commands and message structures, transactions, web servers, and client/server concepts.
- Good database knowledge, especially Oracle 10g or higher, including indexes, explain plans, and AWR reports.
- Preferred knowledge of Tuxedo middleware, GPP or payments, Linux, and production support.
- Strong analytical, logical, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and under limited supervision.
- Awareness of software engineering processes covering design, coding, and testing; ability to work effectively as a team member.
