Base Salary

$196k - $227k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build the next generation client platform for Airbnb corporate endpoints using open source products.
  • Develop and maintain Zero Trust backend services supporting security services, network paths, and user and device signaling.
  • Build robust, scalable, and secure systems for Airbnb’s identity and endpoint security infrastructure.
  • Support executive-level staff with endpoint and identity solutions.
  • Optimize endpoint and identity flows with product and engineering teams.
  • Lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s or PhD degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in test-driven software development.
  • Extensive experience with Go, Python, or Java, with Go strongly preferred.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and infrastructure-as-code deployments.
  • Experience developing and deploying services in Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Preferred experience with microservices architecture, Apple MDM specifications, and modern MDM deployments.
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization technologies including OAuth 2.0, OpenID, SAML, ABAC, and related Zero Trust security protocols.

  • Base pay range is $196,000–$227,000 USD.
