Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and support high-quality Proton Pass user experiences and features across web, desktop, and browser extension platforms.
- Collaborate with backend, product, design, QA, and engineering teams to deliver initiatives from ideation through completion.
- Break down large initiatives into milestones and incorporate stakeholder feedback throughout development.
- Conduct code reviews and improve code quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Develop comprehensive unit and end-to-end testing strategies for product reliability.
Requirements
- Demonstrated frontend expertise with deep knowledge of browser internals, extension APIs, and desktop application frameworks.
- Strong understanding of the JavaScript ecosystem.
- Proficiency with TypeScript or type-safe programming paradigms.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns.
- Product mindset focused on delivering excellent user experiences.
- Experience working in a distributed team.
- Preferred experience includes MV3 browser extensions, Electron or similar desktop frameworks, service-worker architectures, WebAssembly, Rust, event-driven systems, accessibility, localization, application monitoring, and cryptography concepts.
