Staff Software Engineer, Restaurant Experience (Remote)

Responsibilities
- Lead the technical vision and frontend architecture for ezCater’s restaurant partner experience, including onboarding, menu management, order fulfillment, marketing programs, and partner portals.
- Define and evangelize frontend standards covering micro-frontend composition, monorepo structure, shared design systems, component governance, and scalable development practices.
- Establish the architecture for embedded business intelligence, reporting, dashboards, and data visualization within the partner portal.
- Champion AI-native frontend workflows, including design-to-code, context-grounded AI-assisted development, and machine-readable interfaces for people and AI agents.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Research, Principal Engineers, Staff Engineers, and business stakeholders to shape product direction and execute technology roadmaps.
- Mentor engineers and promote learning, collaboration, and consistent engineering standards across teams.
Requirements
- Require 8+ years of professional development experience and deep production expertise with React, Next.js App Router, and TypeScript.
- Require 4+ years of production React experience and working knowledge of micro-frontend architecture patterns such as Islands architecture, module federation, or edge-side composition.
- Demonstrate experience standardizing frontend architecture, design systems, monorepo tooling, and micro-frontend boundaries at scale.
- Demonstrate experience building data-rich dashboards, reporting interfaces, and data visualization experiences for non-technical users.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional Product, Design, and Research partners to drive product direction.
- Have experience mentoring engineers and working with business stakeholders on technology roadmaps.
- Preferred experience includes B2B or partner-facing SaaS products, REST, GraphQL, Turborepo, Go or equivalent backend frameworks, component libraries, embedded analytics, data visualization tooling, Datadog, and Sentry.
