Base Salary
$164k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead large-scale frontend systems using JavaScript, React.js, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Establish frontend engineering standards, architectural patterns, and shared component-system conventions across Clinicals engineering teams.
- Define frontend integration patterns with GraphQL and backend services, and lead the multi-year modernization roadmap and migration strategy.
- Partner with engineering leadership, product management, design, security, and platform teams on technical direction and organizational planning.
- Mentor and technically guide Lead, Senior, and mid-level engineers while strengthening engineering culture and capability.
- Evaluate AI-assisted development tooling for code generation, test automation, and performance analysis.
- Lead technical reviews and architectural decision-making, and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and architectural inconsistencies.
- Advise on build, release, deployment, cloud infrastructure, Oracle integrations, and legacy Perl utilities.
- Participate in frontend hiring, external engineering communities, workforce strategy, and technical escalations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is a plus.
- 10 to 15 years of professional software engineering experience with significant frontend architecture and development experience at scale.
- Expert JavaScript and TypeScript skills and deep React.js expertise, including state management, performance optimization, design systems, and component libraries.
- Strong Node.js proficiency for build tooling, server-side rendering, and frontend-adjacent service design.
- Demonstrated GraphQL experience including schema design, client integration, and frontend data-access patterns.
- Proven ability to lead frontend architecture strategies, migration planning, and technical governance across multiple teams or product areas.
- Exposure to Perl, Oracle, AWS, Jenkins, and/or Harness, plus experience with cloud-based frontend infrastructure, is preferred.
- Experience with Agile software development lifecycle practices, roadmap planning, iterative delivery, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineering, product, and executive stakeholders.
