Base Salary

$158k - $264k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve enterprise EDI/B2B platform architecture for scalability, security, resilience, and performance.
  • Design integration solutions across connectivity, transformation, and orchestration layers for Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay workflows.
  • Provide technical leadership for platform operations and ensure availability, throughput, transaction integrity, and partner-experience KPIs.
  • Lead resolution of systemic issues and major disruptions, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Drive modernization initiatives that reduce technical debt and enable API-led, event-driven, automated, and AI-enabled integration capabilities.
  • Serve as a hands-on subject matter expert for partner onboarding, data exchange, and transaction lifecycle management.
  • Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices and lead architecture and design reviews.
  • Mentor and guide engineers and architects while influencing technical direction across cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with business, product, engineering, and external stakeholders on customer experience, transformation goals, and vendor selection.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent qualification is required; fewer years may be accepted with relevant Master's or Doctorate qualifications.
  • Typically 10+ years of relevant experience, including software engineering and architecture focused on enterprise integration and EDI/B2B ecosystems.
  • Deep hands-on experience across EDI partner onboarding, data transformation, connectivity protocols, and transaction orchestration.
  • Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems for high-volume, mission-critical transaction processing.
  • Understanding of reliability, observability, performance optimization, incident management, and operational excellence.
  • Experience using automation and emerging AI capabilities to improve platform efficiency, scalability, and decision-making.
  • Ability to influence architecture and guide technical direction across teams without direct authority, with strong executive and business communication skills.
  • Preferred experience includes cloud adoption, API-led and event-driven modernization, high-pressure troubleshooting, and mentoring engineers and architects.
  • Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or supply chain experience is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. now or in the future without McKesson support.

Benefits

  • Base pay range is $158,300-$263,900, with potential annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities.
