Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve scalable, maintainable, and high-performing software solutions.
- Build full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot/Spring MVC/Spring Security, React, and RESTful services.
- Develop backend integrations with SQL Server and Oracle databases, with Oracle preferred for AWS RDS use cases.
- Implement unit, mutation, component, and frontend testing practices.
- Set up and configure cloud infrastructure using AWS, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
- Work with AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, Elastic Load Balancing, EC2, MSK, and RDS.
- Use observability tools such as Elastic and Kibana for logging, metrics, debugging, and operational insight.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, stakeholders, and related teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, technology communities, and continuous improvement.
- Apply secure coding practices, manage risk and controls, and comply with relevant policies, regulations, and codes of conduct.
- Support the successful delivery of location strategy projects in accordance with plans, quality standards, and governance requirements.
Requirements
- Experience with Java 17 or Java 21.
- Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
- Experience with React and JavaScript.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful services.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, PIT, Stryker, Karate, WireMock, and React Testing Library.
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot backend development.
- Experience with relational databases including SQL Server and Oracle.
- Experience using observability tools such as Elastic and Kibana.
- Experience setting up cloud infrastructure with CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Experience configuring AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, Elastic Load Balancers, EC2, MSK, and RDS.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and OpenShift.
- Experience with GitLab or Bitbucket.
- Understanding of DevOps and Jenkins pipelines.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous integration using GitLab.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Relevant technology or platform certification is valued.
- Ability to apply technical expertise, solve problems, communicate complex information, and collaborate across functions.
