Responsibilities
- Design and architect a highly scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant data platform for security signals.
- Build and optimize pipelines that collect, store, and analyze data from Salesforce platforms, cloud environments, vulnerability scanners, asset systems, identity systems, and vendor platforms.
- Integrate AI, ML, LLM, RAG, anomaly detection, risk scoring, evaluation, guardrail, and agentic triage/remediation capabilities.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Security Operations, Risk Management, Product Security, and Data Science teams.
- Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and establish software, security, AI-assisted development, and cloud-native best practices.
- Champion secure AI and agent design, including prompt-injection defenses, least-privilege tool access, and safe LLM data handling.
- Own and deliver new product features while adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of industry experience, including at least 2 years of SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS software development experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in distributed systems and data engineering, including highly available, high-performance, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Experience with Docker-based development, EKS, configuration management, infrastructure-as-code, Terraform, and Puppet.
- Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, SQL, and NoSQL technologies.
- Proficiency in object-oriented and multithreaded development with Python, Golang, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with systems patterns, API construction, Linux software development, and security concepts including authentication, authorization, TLS, identity management, and PKI.
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs or ML models into production systems using at least two relevant capabilities, such as RAG, agent/tool-use frameworks, prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, fine-tuning, or vector stores.
- Daily fluency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, including the ability to guide safe and effective team usage.
- Strong communication, collaboration, project management, prioritization, and technical architecture skills.
- Preferred qualifications include applying AI/ML to security use cases, MCP or other agentic workflow frameworks, LLM cost and latency optimization, prompt-injection defense, evaluation frameworks, vector databases, and embedding-based retrieval.
