Director, Full-Stack Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java and Python microservices for an enterprise-scale platform.
- Collaborate with architects and engineering leads on service, API, data-store, infrastructure, performance, cost, resilience, and global expansion decisions.
- Provision and manage Azure infrastructure with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Build, deploy, and operate Kubernetes workloads using autoscaling, service mesh, supply-chain security, and artifact-management tools.
- Design and maintain multi-region CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, and Harness.
- Develop monitoring, alerting, metrics-driven automation, dashboards, and reliability improvements using New Relic.
- Design data integrations, replication strategies, and query optimizations across Snowflake and PostgreSQL.
- Build Slack integrations and use AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering workflows.
- Apply static analysis, automated testing, security, and quality practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to platform strategy and organizational engineering goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 14+ years of software development experience with strong knowledge of enterprise-scale microservice systems.
- Deep expertise in Java, including Spring Boot and Spring MVC, and Python for production microservices.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and Groovy.
- Strong production Kubernetes experience, including deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting containerized workloads; familiarity with KEDA, Helm, and service mesh technologies such as Consul or Istio.
- Proficiency with Terraform and Azure Cloud, including infrastructure provisioning, cost optimization, and multi-region considerations.
- Linux systems administration experience with Debian or Ubuntu, including performance tuning and security.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines as code with GitHub and Jenkins; Harness experience is preferred.
- Experience with observability and APM platforms such as New Relic, including dashboards, alerts, and SLOs.
- Proficiency with SonarQube for static analysis and code-quality enforcement.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures; familiarity with Snowflake is required for analytics and data-platform integrations.
- Experience with Chainguard, Artifactory, image signing or SBOMs, Slack integrations, and AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Devin/Windsurf, or Cursor.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
