Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and modernize enterprise software applications and digital solutions.
- Develop web applications, RESTful APIs, backend services, integrations, enterprise platforms, reusable components, frameworks, and automation solutions.
- Translate business and technical requirements into software designs and functionality in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Lead technical analysis, code reviews, design reviews, implementation planning, and mentoring for junior developers and engineering staff.
- Support cloud migration, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, testing, monitoring, logging, performance optimization, release management, and production operations.
- Troubleshoot complex application, integration, and system issues through root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Create technical documentation including system designs, architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and operational procedures.
- Apply secure coding practices, security controls, accessibility requirements, organizational standards, and software quality practices throughout the SDLC.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum six years of software development experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications and systems.
- Experience with modern programming languages, frameworks, enterprise application development, RESTful APIs, web services, system integrations, and object-oriented design.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps, or hybrid software development environments and supporting CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software delivery.
- Experience with source code management tools such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with cloud-based application development and deployment environments and experience troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing complex enterprise applications.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes federal software development programs, DHS or CISA programs, Microsoft Azure, AWS, hybrid cloud, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, automation frameworks, ServiceNow, Power Platform, SharePoint, Salesforce, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, AWS Developer Associate, Certified Scrum Developer, Security+, or equivalent.
