Base Salary
$65k - $117k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of Java-based enterprise applications for asset management operations.
- Translate business and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions and application designs.
- Develop and maintain applications using Java, SQL, and Unix/Linux scripting.
- Design, build, and optimize batch processing, automation solutions, and enterprise integrations.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, code reviews, and technical design reviews.
- Troubleshoot complex application, database, and integration issues and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate on database design, SQL performance, data structures, and data integrity.
- Support deployments, production stability, functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and performance testing.
- Create technical documentation, solution designs, and operational procedures.
- Drive improvements in reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency and evaluate emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, application design, and technical leadership within enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on Java development and application support experience.
- Advanced SQL expertise, including database design, query optimization, performance tuning, and stored procedure development.
- Strong Unix/Linux scripting experience for automation, batch processing, and operational workflows.
- Experience delivering and supporting high-volume, business-critical enterprise applications.
- Working knowledge of asset management, capital markets, investment operations, or financial services.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across applications, databases, and integrations.
- Experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and leading technical delivery efforts.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred experience in asset management, investment management, custody operations, or capital markets organizations.
- Preferred familiarity with cloud platforms, automated testing frameworks, DevOps practices, application monitoring, production support, performance management tools, and large-scale distributed applications in regulated environments.
