Base Salary
$65k - $117k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of Java-based enterprise applications for asset management operations.
- Translate business and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions and application designs.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development teams.
- Develop and maintain applications using Java, SQL, and Unix/Linux scripting.
- Design, build, and optimize batch processing, automation solutions, and enterprise integrations.
- Troubleshoot complex application, database, and integration issues and drive root-cause analysis.
- Optimize data structures, SQL performance, and data integrity in collaboration with database teams.
- Support application deployments and production stability with infrastructure and DevOps teams.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design reviews, and functional, integration, regression, and performance testing efforts.
- Create technical documentation, solution designs, and operational procedures while driving reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, application design, and technical leadership within enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on Java development and application support experience.
- Advanced SQL expertise, including database design, query optimization, performance tuning, and stored procedure development.
- Strong Unix/Linux scripting experience for automation, batch processing, and operational workflows.
- Experience delivering and supporting high-volume, business-critical enterprise applications.
- Working knowledge of asset management, capital markets, investment operations, or financial services.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across applications, databases, and integrations.
- Experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and leading technical delivery efforts.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred experience in asset management, investment management, custody operations, or capital markets organizations.
- Preferred familiarity with cloud platforms, modern application development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, DevOps practices, application monitoring, production support, and performance management tools.
- Preferred experience supporting large-scale distributed enterprise applications in regulated environments.
