Responsibilities
- Design and build a high-performance rendering architecture for dense geospatial visualization and precision editing.
- Define spatial editing interactions with Design, including snapping, cursor states, easing, loading transitions, and visual polish.
- Optimize rendering and interaction latency using partial GPU buffer updates and custom shaders.
- Develop 3D spatial tools including line-of-sight analysis, signal-strength heatmaps, and AI-driven hardware placement suggestions.
- Own the client-side CRDT sync engine, including its document model, local persistence, presence, offline-first behavior, and conflict resolution.
- Architect a core greenfield platform supporting 8+ product lines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building complex customer-facing web applications or high-performance graphics engines.
- Strong JavaScript fundamentals and expertise with React and common state or data libraries.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, memory management, linear algebra, coordinate-system conversions, geospatial projections, and 3D geometry.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver pixel-perfect, high-performance user experiences and collaborate closely with Design.
- Preferred experience with Deck.gl, MapLibre, Three.js, raw WebGL or WebGPU, Yjs, Automerge, Operational Transforms, Canvas API, low-level buffer management, custom shaders, PostGIS, vector tiling, or GIS workflows.
