Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain user-space C/C++ applications for ARM-based Linux router and gateway platforms.
- Develop build configurations, package integrations, and deployment workflows.
- Implement device-to-cloud communication using MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, and related networking protocols.
- Work across OpenWRT, RDK-B, and similar embedded Linux middleware environments.
- Debug and resolve software, integration, packaging, networking, and end-to-end device-to-cloud issues.
- Collaborate with cloud, QA, DevOps, and platform teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 1+ year or a PhD.
- At least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills and hands-on embedded Linux or user-space application development experience.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT, and REST APIs.
- Experience with Linux debugging tools, log analysis, root cause analysis, Git, Make or CMake, and software packaging or integration.
- Exposure to OpenWRT, RDK-B, or similar embedded Linux platforms.
- Preferred experience includes Python, Django or FastAPI, AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, device management, telemetry, or IoT solutions.
