Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable cloud-native architectures for industrial IoT and connected solutions on Azure.
- Implement event-driven, microservices-based, distributed, and API-first systems for real-time ingestion, streaming, messaging, and event processing.
- Develop and maintain end-to-end edge-to-cloud solutions integrating edge devices, gateways, and cloud services.
- Build secure RESTful APIs, backend services, and data pipelines for streaming and batch processing.
- Develop edge applications supporting data ingestion, filtering, and industrial protocol handling for MQTT, Modbus, and OPC-UA.
- Integrate solutions with PLC, SCADA, DCS, and CMS industrial systems.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested software in Python, C#, or Java.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, infrastructure as code, observability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Apply cloud security, identity and access management, secure communication, secrets and key management, and cybersecurity governance practices.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, cloud and platform teams, and cybersecurity teams on system design, deployment, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
Requirements
- 6–10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, distributed systems, or IoT platforms.
- Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven systems, API-first design, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably Azure.
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, Event Hub, or Service Bus; REST API development; and Docker containerization.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C#, or Java.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud security concepts.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or a related field.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-204 or AZ-220 are preferred.
- Preferred experience includes Azure architecture patterns, Kubernetes or container orchestration such as AKS, data engineering and streaming frameworks, multi-cloud or cloud-agnostic architectures, Angular, React, Node.js, and industrial systems and protocols.
