Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary technical point of contact for external technology resources.
- Provide software design input across the product and finalize requirements with technical personnel.
- Work directly with customers and end users to translate requests into solutions.
- Act as the go-to resource for coding and technical issues.
- Write and review detailed specifications for moderately complex system components.
- Complete complex bug fixes and resolve security vulnerabilities in open-source Java technologies.
- Develop and integrate payment web services and support payment transaction processing.
- Lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.
- Mentor software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques.
- Support project planning, troubleshooting, risk identification, schedule adjustments, and cross-functional coordination.
Requirements
- 9+ years of software engineering experience.
- BS in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of Java software engineering and development.
- Expertise with Apache Camel and Spring Boot.
- Expertise with AWS, including ECS, S3, SQS, Step Functions, Lambda, CloudFormation Templates, and AWS database operations.
- Knowledge of frontend development using React.
- Expertise in resolving security vulnerabilities in open-source Java technologies.
- Experience with test-driven development, software development methodologies, architectural principles, data manipulation and optimization techniques, payment processors, and payment web service integration.
- Proven ability to lead internal and external technology resources and manage resource models such as managed services or staff augmentation.
- Strong project planning, organization, time management, change management, delegation, problem-solving, communication, presentation, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
