Responsibilities
- Provide architectural guidance on established cloud platform patterns under senior engineer direction.
- Run moderately complex, time-boxed enablement engagements through defined handover.
- Maintain reusable Infrastructure-as-Code modules and CI/CD pipeline templates.
- Apply engineering standards consistently across engagements.
- Provide short-term hyper care support after handover.
- Maintain runbooks, onboarding guides, decision logs, and other documentation.
- Track engagement and support data to identify recurring issues and escalate platform friction signals.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering roles.
- Hands-on knowledge of AWS, CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab, Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, observability tools, and ITSM or workflow tools.
- Experience documenting decisions, explaining technical trade-offs, and working with engineering teams.
- Ability to take direction from senior engineers while developing independent ownership.
- Nice-to-have experience with API gateway technologies such as Kong and Internal Developer Portal concepts.
- Nice-to-have familiarity with VM provisioning, workload orchestration such as Nomad, secrets management such as Vault, and artifact management such as Artifactory.
