Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain integrations between R2’s platform and partner APIs, data pipelines, and backend systems.
- Use controlled access to live partner data to identify edge cases, optimize decisioning models, and ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Build and deploy lightweight APIs, ETL jobs, or infrastructure changes to translate partner needs into working software.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for deployments by debugging systems, monitoring performance, and resolving production issues.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, backend engineers, and partner engineering teams to tailor integrations.
- Create deployment playbooks, data access protocols, and documentation for secure, scalable regional integrations.
Requirements
- 6-8+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or data engineering, ideally in fintech or SaaS integrations.
- Deep experience with Python, Go, Node.js, RESTful APIs, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of data systems, access control, and secure data handling; GCP, AWS, or Snowflake experience is a plus.
- Experience working directly with external engineering teams to translate business and technical needs into robust integrations.
- Ability to debug production systems and work with sensitive data under strict compliance constraints.
- Experience with financial APIs, underwriting systems, or risk infrastructure.
- Familiarity with data modeling, ETL, or event-driven architectures such as Kafka and Pub/Sub.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Exposure to customer-embedded roles at technology firms such as Palantir, Stripe, or API-based startups.
