Responsibilities
- Integrate vendor authentication systems into the BNY Mellon environment.
- Develop user interfaces and services using front-end and back-end technologies.
- Plan, develop, test, deploy, integrate, and support high-load, high-availability services.
- Analyze, address, and coordinate remediation of software vulnerabilities with internal teams.
- Provide senior technical consulting and support to internal business and IT groups.
- Design and develop efficient, testable code, test automation suites, flowcharts, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain software functionality and currency.
- Guide teams in implementing services while meeting timelines and security requirements.
- Evaluate compliance with technology standards and contribute to corporate technology implementation and integration strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional collaboration.
- Complete required training and maintain awareness of emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 10–14 years of software development experience; at least 1+ year of experience with the stated design, integration, development, and support work is also listed.
- Full-stack development experience spanning user-side front-end and server-side back-end systems.
- Experience with Java, Spring Framework, Python, REST APIs, HTML5, Angular, CSS, JavaScript, C#, Node.js, JSON, and SQL.
- Experience with DevOps practices and GitLab.
- Experience with Oracle and MongoDB database technologies.
- Experience with Kubernetes and application frameworks and containerization.
- Understanding of security principles, vulnerability management, relational databases, and architecture design principles.
- Prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies.
- Broad experience with multi-platform development tools and toolkits, plus strong communication, organization, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Securities or financial-services industry experience is preferred.
