Responsibilities
- Craft and support end-to-end technical solutions for insurance projects, platform teams, and clients.
- Create design options with associated costs, benefits, risks, and business-case implications.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, development teams, and project colleagues to resolve trade-offs.
- Maintain the integrity of end-to-end solutions, including transition states toward target architecture.
- Shape and estimate IT initiatives and feature-team sprints against business outcomes.
- Produce design artefacts supporting service, security, architecture, and engineering.
- Recommend technical changes and design solutions based on analysis, policy, and strategic goals.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and its deployed technologies.
- Knowledge of at least one insurance business area, such as P&C, Life, Commercial Insurance, or the London Market.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end project lifecycle methodologies, mainly agile.
- Strong technical experience across customer and business scenarios or a strong domain specialization such as infrastructure, business intelligence, or pensions.
- Financial acumen for business cases and design decisions.
- Ability to balance long-term direction with short-term delivery goals.
- Strong interpersonal, stakeholder-management, relationship-management, influence, and leadership skills.
